Privacy policy. This policy describes how pearlhomesecurity handles information for quote requests. Have qualified legal counsel review the highlighted legal and vendor items before launch.

1. Introduction

This site is operated by pearlhomesecurity ("Pearl", "we", "us"), trading as Pearl Security Solutions. Pearl is an authorized dealer/affiliate of ADT and Vivint. Pearl is not ADT and is not Vivint.

This policy explains what we collect when you visit this website and request a quote, why we collect it, who receives it, and the choices you have. It is written for people in the United States.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you request a quote we collect your first name, last name, street address, city (and state when included with a city suggestion), ZIP code, email address and phone number, the provider you chose, and your consent choice.

Information collected automatically

At the moment you submit the form we also record: your IP address, your browser's user agent, device type (mobile, tablet or desktop), screen resolution, time zone and language, the page address and the page you came from, and any campaign parameters in the link you used (such as UTM tags, gclid or fbclid). We record the time your submission was sent and received, and the exact consent wording shown to you together with the time you ticked the consent box.

Your IP address and device details are recorded at submission, not before. They are observed by our server when your request arrives, not supplied by your browser.

3. Session certification by third parties

To keep an independent record of form activity, this site may use a third-party session-certification service while you fill in the form:

TrustedForm is currently disabled. If enabled, it may record how the form is used, including page content and interactions such as clicks, scrolling and what you type. We ask TrustedForm to mask the phone and email fields; other fields you type, such as your name and address, may be captured. A certificate may be stored with your request. 4. How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your quote request and pass it to the provider you chose; to arrange contact and scheduling; to verify submissions and prevent fraud, abuse and duplicates; to measure which campaigns lead to requests; to keep a record of your consent; and to meet our legal obligations.

We use the information you provide to handle your quote request, and use submission and consent records to document what was submitted and help protect the service against fraud and abuse. Where applicable law requires consent for contact, the provider-specific disclosure shown with the form describes the contact requested. You can withdraw contact consent at any time (see section 6).

The form displays provider-specific text and stores the text shown with the request. The current Vivint disclosure requests consent to contact about home security and automation products, including marketing calls, texts and emails, which may use an automatic telephone dialing system, AI-generated voice or prerecorded messages; it also says consent is not a condition of purchase. The current ADT checkbox displays ADT offer terms, not a complete contact-consent statement. To revoke contact consent, reply STOP to a text message, tell the caller, or email hello@pearlhomesecurity.com. Please also contact the provider that contacted you, since it manages its own calling and texting.

7. How we share your information

We use your provider selection to handle your quote request. Pearl stores the request in a Google Sheet restricted to the owner and specifically authorized staff. Pearl then contacts the provider you selected separately; the website itself does not automatically send your submission to ADT or Vivint. We do not send your request to the other provider.

Our service partners are expected to use information shared with them to respond to and fulfill your specific request, including providing relevant information, quotes or services, and not for unrelated marketing. The current Vivint form disclosure separately asks permission for marketing about home security and automation products; read the provider-specific disclosure before submitting.

We do not use a separate IP geolocation service; your IP address is stored as received.

8. Data retention

We keep lead and consent records for three months, then delete them unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Application and hosting logs may include IP address, selected provider and request outcome; they have no fixed retention period and may be retained according to the host's configuration.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights to access, correct or request deletion of personal information and other rights, subject to applicable exceptions. California residents may have the right to know, access, correct or request deletion of personal information, subject to applicable legal exceptions. They may also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information where applicable and exercise other rights provided under California privacy law. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in section 15.

To use any of these rights, email hello@pearlhomesecurity.com with your name and the phone number or email you used, so we can find your record. We may need to confirm it is you before we act. Providers who received your request keep their own records and handle requests about them separately.

10. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We may share information with the provider you selected to respond to and fulfill your quote request, as described in section 7. Whether this disclosure is considered a "sale" or "sharing" under California law depends on applicable legal definitions and circumstances. 11. Cookies and similar technologies

This is what the site uses, and nothing else:

We do not currently use an analytics tool, advertising tracker, tag manager or social-media pixel. The site and lead handler may record technical logs, including IP address, provider selection and request outcome; no fixed log-retention period is configured. If TrustedForm is enabled, your browser connects to that service and it may receive your IP address.

12. Data security

Access to the Google Sheet is limited to the owner and specifically authorized staff. The lead handler validates submissions and applies per-IP rate limits; access to production should use HTTPS. The local development container may use unencrypted HTTP and should not be used to submit real personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

13. Children's privacy

This site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed. If a change is significant we will say so on this page.
